Dear hiring manager,
I am writing to apply for the Office Administrator position at Old Mission Capital. I am a highly organized and detail-oriented professional with 5 years of experience in art administration and event management.
In my current role as Senior Director of Artist Development and Cultural Curation at Top Cat, I have successfully contracted 15 contemporary, visual, and decorative artists for representation with the gallery. I have also planned and produced 4 exhibitions and events by partnering with appropriate venues, managed the scheduling and cross-department coordination of event logistics, and developed 11 artist careers by creating PR packages, press interview opportunities, as well as open call and cultural residency submission packets. My excellent communication and coordination skills have been instrumental in facilitating digital conversations with prospective clients by engaging e-visitors with artist features, available inventory access, past exhibition history, as well as other key information on the regularly maintained gallery website. In addition, I have been responsible for tracking all gallery budgets including events expenses and processing invoices for external partner vendors.
As Sales Manager at CB2, I was responsible for developing a personalized shopping experience for clients by encouraging a clientele-based approach. I assisted clients with design choices of showroom inventory and closed sales ranging from a single home accessory to a purchase of an entire furnished room setting. My ability to provide exceptional customer service resulted in me being awarded for the most consistent positive customer feedback with “Elevating Our Brand Experience” title in March 2020.
My skills in art administration combined with my experience in sales make me the ideal candidate for this role. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss my application further at an interview so that I can share more about how my qualifications would benefit your team at Old Mission Capital specifically. Thank you
