I am writing to apply for the Grants Director position at the NYC Mayor’s office. Based on the job description, I believe that my 7 years of professional experience in grant management, financial planning/management, financial analysis, public policy analysis or a related field make me an ideal candidate for this role.
In addition, I have strong proficiency in Excel and Word, as well as relevant grant databases and software. My experience in grant management, specifically State and Federal funding sources, has taught me how to handle multiple projects simultaneously while paying attention to detail. I am confident that I can provide excellent reporting to upper management and work closely with Budget, Fiscal, and Procurement staff to track grant spending.
Lastly, I have excellent interpersonal skills and a strong ability to work well with others in a diverse team/work environment. I am excited about the opportunity to join the NYC Mayor’s office and contribute to its success.
