As a Surgical Technologist Student at Brookline College, I was responsible for preparing sterile drapes and solutions, passing instruments to surgeons, and labeling and passing specimens. In addition, I assisted with gowning and gloving the surgical team. My experience has taught me how to maintain a sterile field, how to adapt to unpredictable situations within the perioperative setting, and how to work well under stressful and emergent situations.
