Dear hiring manager,

I am writing to apply for the CEO position at Avaaz. I have +10 years of professional experience and I believe that I am a great fit for this role.

In my previous role as Head of Communications at Greenpeace, I was responsible for leading a large team in a fast paced, high stakes environment. I have a proven track record of driving large scale change while maintaining a healthy internal culture. I am passionate about and committed to drive large scale change for the global public good.

I have working knowledge of the highest levels of the public, private and non-profit sectors and successful track record dealing with high- level decision-makers in the public and/or private sectors. I have also been involved in successful advocacy and mass participation campaigns. In addition, I understand the financial and operational considerations of an organisation similar to Avaaz’s size (budget $25-30m; 100+ staff, globally distributed).

I believe that my skills and experience make me an ideal candidate for this role. I am excited about the opportunity to lead Avaaz and contribute to its success.
